At just the very young age of 21, Jayson Acevedo performed in six English speaking stand up comedy showcases in Paris, France as part of his affectionately dubbed "Latino In Paris" Comedy Tour. That same year in August, Acevedo received the opportunity of a lifetime by being invited to perform at the world's largest arts festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. The same festival at which SNL's Michael Che & The Daily Show's Trevor Noah performed.

Now 25, Acevedo has yet to clean his room. Acevedo continues to perform throughout the city of Chicago at The Second City, Zanies, Harvey’s Comedy Club (Portland), The World Famous Laugh Factory, The Comedy Bar, The Revival, House of Blues, UP Comedy Club, His Nephew’s House & many other comedy/variety showcases in, around & outside the city of Chicago.

Most recently Acevedo was chosen as a featured performer for the 2018 NBCUniversal/Second City BreakOut Comedy Festival & was also chosen among 200 auditionees as a 2017 NBCUniversal/Second City Bob Curry Fellow at The Second City.

The Bob Curry Fellowship is a unique fellowship that boasts a rigorous master program for serious minded talent seeking a career in sketch comedy & is only awarded to exceptional talent selected by audition and adjudicated by Second City directors and producers.

This led to being cast in a 10 week sold out run of The Second City's Diversity & Inclusion Flagship Show Urban Twist. He has also opened up for comics Hari Kondabolu (NPR/The Problem With Apu) & Reno Collier (Blue Collar Comedy Tour)
